Welcome to Army Public School - Dawar

Army Goodwill School, Dawar was established in Gurez Valley on 01 May 2004 and was formally inaugurated by Lt Gen & Mrs Hariprasad, the then Army Cdr, in Mar 2005 for providing education facilities to the children of the remote area of Gurez Valley. The school started its functioning with a meager 38 students in UKG and Class - I with two teachers. The present strength has now been increased to 229 students from class LKG to Class-X. The school is being run by Dawar Battalion (2/3 GR) under the aegis of Snow Leopard Brigade . The school is following the J&K State Govt syllabus and the medium of instruction is English.
