SYSTEM OF EXAMINATION

 

  • The academic year is divided into Terms (T1 & T2).
  • The two terms include two rounds of Unit Test (U1 & U2) and projects in addition to half yearly examination and annual examination.
  • Besides this, an internal assessment will be made throughout the year on the basis of class assignments.

 

Pass Percentage:   An examination candidate must obtain no less than 35% marks in each subject to pass with an aggregate of 40%.

Change in Academic & Exam Pattern .2023

The acedamic session and  Exam system has been shifted to March -April Session by the  Govt of J&K State Board of School Education.The School Education Department has notified the Student Assessment and Evaluation Scheme (SAES) up to class 8th students instead of Term exam(T1&T2).

The scheme has been notified in accordance with the provisions in National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 and Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2019 (as amended). Notably, the J&K government this year took a lead to adopt NEP-2020 and also shifted to the March session of examination in order to follow a Uniform Academic calendar in vogue across the Country.
